Normal Operations Launch and Recovery Equipment

The Firebird does not need launch and recovery equipment for normal operation. It lands and takes off at known positions where it is disassembled and stored for transportation in the landing location.

Emergency Procedures Launch and Recovery Equipment

In the case of an emergency in which the autopilot or the operator triggers a flight termination, a parachute will be deployed.
