The parachute is a device meant to safely terminate a flight in an emergency that impedes the return to the launch location, safe landing, or flight continuance.
The flight controller sends a parachute arming command when the aircraft is armed
Parachute armed
Flight altitude increased 10m since the aircraft was turned on
Parachute armed
The parachute must be armed and one of the conditions below must be met for ignition.
Autopilot command
Autopilot detects fault that requires flight termination and triggers the parachute
Parachute is triggered, motors disabled
Manual (user) command
User detects fault that requires flight termination and triggers the parachute
Parachute is triggered, motors disabled
Dead-man failsafe
If heartbeat from autopilot is not received and
(Posture exceeds threshold, or freefall is detected for more than threshold time, or falling speed exceeds 12m/s)
Parachute is triggered, motors disabled
Alternately flashing red and green
Parachute system initialization
Paracute just connected to power and performing initialization process
Constant red light
Parachute is functioning with external power supply
Parachute is powered by the aircraft's battery
Flashing red light
Parachute is functioning with internal power supply
Parachute is using internal battery, this state persists for 30 seconds aircraft's battery is disconnected

Parachute failure
Parachute internal battery too low; replace battery
